Pothencode: As part of the Navapoojitham celebrations at Santhigiri Ashram, the Deepa Procession was held in a devotional atmosphere of grandeur. Beginning from the Yajnashala after the evening worship at 6 PM, the procession witnessed the participation of hundreds of devotees, including Sannyasis, Sannyasinis, Brahmacharis, Brahmacharinis, and Guru Bhaktas.

The procession was led by Swami Chaithanya Jnanathapaswi, President of the Ashram. Resonating chants of Guru Mantras by the devotees filled the air with spiritual fervor, while the fragrance of incense created a serene atmosphere. Devotees, holding lamps in their palms, illuminated the twilight, blending day and night in a divine glow.

Continuous chanting (Akhandanama Japam), traditional percussion and instrumental ensembles, along with perumbara and muthukuda (ornamental umbrellas), added splendor to the procession. By 8 PM, the procession concluded with offerings and prayers at the Guru’s presence. Later, Swami Gururethnam Jnanathapaswi, General Secretary of the Ashram, addressed the gathering with the Navapoojitham dedication message.

This year’s Navapoojitham festivities will conclude with the Poornakumbhamela on September 20.
