    Karunyam, the grandest expression of the compassion and love of Guru to the ailing and toiling poor, all over the world marks the beginning of a new era in the health care of the world. This project exemplifies the limitless possibility that the New Arogya Dharma Siddhantham gifted by Guru to humanity offers. The launching of this project coincides with major changes taking place in health care system the world over. People are increasingly scared about the side effects of modern medicine and environmental pollution created by development. At a time when people across the world search a way out from the stranglehold of vested interests in medical field who have commercialized health management, Karunyam is the most sacred gift of our Guru to the world.

 
  KARUNYAM FREE HEALTHCARE PROGRAMME  
 

    Karunyam free healthcare programme is a big leap in the area of healthcare, which was made possible by the years of untiring work for the propagation of Indian systems of medicine--Ayurveda and Siddha--undertaken by Santhigiri Ashram for the realization of Guru's mission. This project has been conceived as a 15 years novel programme (2006-2021).

    The approximate budget estimate of the project is calculated at Rs 3500,000,000. In the first phase the project is implemented in Kerala. The inauguration of the state level implementation was performed by Sri Mohammed Asharuddin, the former Indian Cricket Captain. District level inaugurations were conducted by eminent personalities like Dr. K.M. Cherian, Sri. P. Vijayan , I.P.S, Smt. Sandhya, I.P.S., and others. Padmavibhushan Sri. Adoor Gopalakrishnan
    Inaugurated the IInd   phase of Karunayam on 4th August at Cochin . At the national level, the project is proposed to implement in all states. Adequate measures have been adopted to establish tie-up with state governments and important N.G.Os. Starting of medical colleges, out-reach centers and mobile clinics have been planned as the means for the realization of this project.
