NAVAJYOTHISREE KARUNAKARA GURU RESEARCH CENTRE FOR AYURVEDA AND SIDDHA, UZHAVOOR, KOTTAYAM

Navajyothisree Karunakara Guru Research Centre for Ayurveda and Siddha, is a research institute envisaged by Ashram to do scientific research in Ayurveda and Siddha. The centre intends to formulate new drugs for treating specific diseases, with emphasis on Nephrology and Neurology . The late Sri. K.R. Narayanan, while in office as the President of India and his sister K.R. Gowri Amma donated their ancestral home to Santhigiri Ashram. The tradition of the former President is of vaidyans (Physicians) and as per the wishes of late Sri. K.R. Narayanan and his sister, Santhigiri Ashram has set up there a research centre . The foundation stone of the Research Center was laid by the Governor of Kerala Sri. Sukhdev Singh Kang on 12-11-2000.
