Guruvani Material reality is very important to mankind. Disregarding physical phenomena nothing can be understood. Our body arises from karma. Karma gives rise to physical form. What can be achieved without physical human body? Karma is necessary to assume the Dharma of the body. Only the knowledge gained through the medium of karma will be helpful to us. Only that knowledge has a valid position. How have all of us, men and women, young and old - have transmitted this knowledge through our lives? There was a time when a disease was diagnosed from the pulse. Now, as the diagnostic process is modernized it has become imperative to test blood, bone, and marrow. Still, whatever is examined and whichever part of the body is examined the disease is not located. All the undiagnosed diseases would be covered up by jargon, too difficult to understand. We are enslaved by some jargon or the other like this. This error must get rectified. It is the house-holders, grihasthasramis, who should correct this fault arising from habit. Only they can do it. They have to struggle a lot for it. Many more hardships will have to be undergone compared to what we undergo for the sake of husband, wife, children, education, wealth and power. For setting this karma right one should decide to make one’s own house the starting point. It should be handled in such a way that everybody can understand it easily. For, the growth of a child takes place generally in the house-hold itself. A girl brought up in a household, which seeks to adopt the corrective, will be having it in her blood by the time she becomes a mother. For such character formation in mothers, the men themselves should cultivate it in the house held first. The family circumstances should be improved in this manner as far as possible. When such effort is coupled with the accumulation of virtue, punya, the prevailing method of education will change the world over. Clarity of aim needs to be sustained by proper knowledge; otherwise the human race will deviate from the legitimate path of karma and Dharma to total destruction. Eventually the earth will lose its God given virtue also. Hence, the improving of the family circumstance should be done in accordance with the Age. It has not been attempted this way. And that is why thinkers, rulers, physicians, house-holders, social activists regret they have got into a vicious circle. There are those who hand out in the tradition of great acharyas and spout big precepts, doctrines and vedantic aphorisms. They realize that their own life as well as that of the entire society of people they lead have got caught in this vicious circle. Their leaders do not consider the connection earthly affairs have with the Will of God. They don’t evaluate the Dharma of the prevailing Age. The mindset of the householders get forged that way ready to throw themselves into a huge boundless fire pit as it were. All the technologies discovered by the west to counter their living conditions of freezing temperatures and snow fall, are pitched towards us, which spell ruin for us. Here Nature is friendly and helpful to our lives in every way. Our land is fertile yielding rich agricultural produce. But we are now reaping the consequences of leading idle lives, lording over others and making them toil on the land like slaves. The result of that karma has come back to us. When we cultivate we have to depend on someone else’s mercy to harvest it. We have to please the man who reaps folding our hands. Otherwise half of the crop might be left uncut in the field. Thus we are in the midst of all kinds of degradation. We have no drinking water, no social justice. What kind of freedom do we have? We have no freedom but we say we are free. What do we take in? Polluted air? Aren’t the five fundamentals, the panchabhuthas, themselves polluted? May be our country is comparatively less polluted as there are no such big factories and companies functioning here. So the world is falling apart like this. It is our mistaken notion that the world is progressing. There are people who mindlessly glorify science and technology. There are others who are indifferent. There are yet others who in their ignorance agree with whatever is told. This is a karmic circle which makes your life empty. Because it is a karmic circle that does not let you think or allow you to inspire others to think about the continuous process of loss and destruction. I would like to remind you again about those intimations given to the world as the revealed Word of God for the past many years. The West has set the example of competitive technology-writing, sketching, and experimenting asserting their dominance. This technology operates through its alliance with ideology and political power and destroys nations. This is over and above the attacks they make on land and from air. The house holders of the whole world ought to be vigilant, otherwise they are preparing themselves to cast their own future generations into a boundless fire pit that is getting formed. This is a reminder to you to take great care when you bring your children into the world and parent them. Ultimately where do the children have to live? Do the parents have any alternative other than letting the children into this very society? What does each one do in the name of politics? The karma of politics has the life of a day. It is meant to be that way. But the youngsters who are unaware run after politicians and take politics for their life. They start reflecting about it only when half their life is over. By that time turning back becomes impossible. They are not in a position to start a fresh. Ask any leader, who has crossed the middle age, in private. And he would agree that it (his entry into politics) was a mistake. Consider this seriously and you will realize that an outrageous wrong has been done to the younger generations. We have not realized what a great wrong it is! This evil will vanish from the very face of the earth, if the householders could unite and act with a will. It is enough for you to understand the deception and it will disappear on its own. Until and unless you realize this situation for yourself you will not be able to either listen to or to believe in any counsel. This Karma (the politics of today) does not have to be eradicated by force. It is enough that you keep to your karma with proper awareness. What is that karma? It is nothing but bringing the karmic coursefrom previous lives to a completion. It is not possible for you to act from the awareness of all past lives and achieve the completion. It is not necessary for you to know it either. It is enough to learn to believe. That is why Jesus said that faith saves. Indeed you have to learn to believe. Something perennial is being offered to you to believe. Rely on it with resolve and accomplish everything one by one. You, your wife and children are caught in same karma. What you achieve should be achieved by them also. The father of a family should have attained love through faith, karma through love, punyam through karma, and good fortune through punyam. The womb that carries the child has to be that of a similarly worthy mother. Have we brought up our girl-children to be such virtuous mothers? A father should be as God to his children. Then should he not be in a position to at least show the children the path to God? Your search should be motivated by this cause. Whatever else you find for them would not do. This is karma. This is virtue. Actualizing of such virtue would enable parents to bring into existence the citizens of the world. This is not the mission of the renunciate, the sanyasi. It is for the house-holders to accomplish. If the householders are rejecting this what is the way out? Caste, creed and race are not to influence the householder’s life. The Dharma of the age should become the light that leads. This is the age of Kali. The Dharma of Kali is the guidance given by the Guru who hascome to the earth plane even after achieving liberation. He would be without any karmic residue. He would have fulfilled all karmas and amassed virtue through a series of incarnations. He would have realized and gone beyond Vedic rituals and the traditions of Sakteya, Saiva and Vaishnava. Kali seems to have reached a critical stage that cannot be countered even by the teachings of Jesus and Moses. If the Dharma of the Kali is to be accomplished, the women in a household should be spiritually awakened like the women of the Prophet Mohammed’s family. The Prophet was unable initially to make out what was happening. He did not realize that he had started receiving the Word from the light. He thought that he was imagining. It was his wife who affirmed his experience and encouraged him. She was such an evolved woman. The householders should be able to bring up a girl-child who would, when she becomes a wife, assures her husband that she would strive for his welfare through her prayers. Only if this spiritual quality is attained would you earn the right to do such work as would redeem the Kali age. One cannot achieve this, no matter what high status one has, if one’s karma is defective. It is only through grace of God the ever-orbiting planets, remaining in their stellar paths offer substance to us. The people should get this knowledge through the body that governs the land. This knowledge should be properly received by the people as well as the Government. How can one realize the possibility of the interstellar destruction if we disregard these matters, immersed as we are in mirage- like rhetoric and words of consolation. We should be ever vigilant to attain the Dharma of our incarnation mentioned above. That is the means to raise India to be the fountain-head of the Word of Truth from God. And that is how India could be the base for eradicating of poverty of the peoples of the world. Guruvani Astral Pollution of Atmosphere Kaliyuga is the fourth yuga. When we say kali we are made to believe that it is the age of ignorance or age of the ignorant people. But this concept is absolutely incorrect. There are four Vedas which have been divided for the four yugas. This division has been made by a person called Vyasa or Krishnadwaipayana. But this knowledge has astonished us. How can we now celebrate Kalidharma? By telling that Kali is with Sudras, the Sudrathwa has been irrevocably established. When it was heard that Kali is with Sudras, some people felt superior and some others felt inferior. Some thought that they were a group of the downtrodden. What is Kalidharma? The other three yugas have come and gone. If any mistake has been committed during those periods, that can be corrected by Kali and its rightful owner Sudra. For that, Sudra has to acquire knowledge. Thus by acquiring knowledge, Sudra becomes the authority of Satyayuga too. For becoming the authority, one has to acquire wisdom, ability and efficiency. It should be based on knowledge given by divine dispensation. Ignorance about this divine dispensation has resulted in branding Kali as bad. The whole world has been functioning on this wrong assumption. This malfunctioning is as old as twenty five Chaturyugas. Therefore, it cannot be calculated by any body. We will live in this world and ultimately leave this world. While living, we will learn small and big things every day. It is a great function performed in the Ashrama style by praying, recognizing each other and by respecting teachers, parents and gurus. The remaining knowledge can be learned from the house, country and the world, when we grow up. That is the knowledge which we should cultivate physically and spiritually. But there should be no pomp and show. Those who have stayed in the Ashram even for a day will realize this. While staying in the Ashram and learning in the Ashram, we, with our wisdom, sacrifice, sufferings and actions, are compensating for the lapses in the house and the country. This is the spiritual knowledge which we get from the Ashram. This is not Sanyasa. Those who come to the Ashram and stay there do not adopt Sanyasa. They are coming there to learn with their lives. That was what ancient kings had done. Even Lord Krishna studied in an Ashram. Ashram is such a great institution. The basic duty of every Ashram is to give away love, respect and humility for the good of the world. This is the real education which we gain from the Ashram. Instead, there is no meaning in saying that I went to the Ashram and learnt Vedas, Vedanta, music and dance. These can be learnt from anywhere. There is a relief from all sorts of problems, after the present prayer (Akhandanama) was continued without interruption in the Ashram. The Trimoorthy system achieved the desired results in the early stages. Gradually, it lost its efficacy, even in curing diseases. The present prayer was made available to two persons at Varkala. But since my name appeared in it, I refused to do that. But a message was received that it should be regularly chanted and strengthened. When I referred this to Patani Swami, (my Guru) he replied: ‘At present, you will not know who you are. For that, a time will come, after your exit from this world. It is for the whole universe.’ It was realized in 1973 that Akhanda Nama is the most appropriate thing. The realization is that the Nature had made all arrangements for this. There are many people who pray daily without understanding its inner meaning. Conducting mere offerings in temples will not serve any purpose. There are many big temples in Travancore and Malabar and they have been constructed by incurring a lot of expenditure. But nobody knows why these decorations have been made in the temples. Perhaps, our forefathers, Kshatriyas might have wanted to exhibit their authority. An effort has been made to unite us by the Vaishnava, Saiva and Saktheya cults. This is not possible, as these three cults have different characters. These have degenerated into mere music, dance and noise. Do we have time to think as to how much we have understood and how much we have assimilated? Even if we have thought about it, a cruel fate has entangled us and led us to the path of chaos. All of us know about Sanathana Dharma. But what is Sanathana, what is Hindutwa –we are confused. Sanathana means to function with the knowledge of the ages. But we do not know, what these ages or yugas are. Sathyayuga has gone with its innate goodness. From Threthayuga, we have lived according to the dictates of the Karma. We have come to this world after many generations. We have very little time in this world. What can we learn during this short span of time? The wealth of knowledge acquired through the ages is so voluminous that we are unable to understand even a fraction of it. Therefore, what we can learn is Kali Dharma. Kali Dharma is not based on caste or religion. It is based on the innate goodness of humanity. One should realize the changes that have occurred during the last fifty years. Particularly, if we assess the intelligence of the children born during the last twenty years, we will find that they are more intelligent than all of us. This is visible even in the case of children of the age of two to three years. Even though all these changes have occurred, Kali is being projected as bad. And this misconception has been spread all over the world. How can we change it? Many people are convinced that we cannot change this situation. But, we can change it and for that purpose, we have to work hard. Unless we are able to change it, what will be our legacy to the next generation? It is true that during the last twenty five Chaturyugas, crores of great men have come and gone and they have not been able to change themselves or transform others according to Kali Dharma. Then think about the fate of ordinary people. There are crores and crores of souls wandering in the atmosphere in a chaotic pandemonium. During their lifetime, they might have worshipped evil or benign spirits. But they are existing there as atmospheric pollution which adversely affects the entire humanity. I do not know how many of us are aware of this fact. In this situation I am certain that the atmosphere can be changed. Of course, this is a big issue. Let us transfer this knowledge to our children. They should not be thrown to the mercy of the past knowledge acquired by us during our lifetime. Children below the age of twenty to twenty five years, irrespective of caste, creed or gender, should be enabled to effect a transformation which will lead the entire mankind to a benevolent destination. The dirt and dust of twenty five Chaturyugas are accumulated here. Whatever be the difficulties and hardships we have to face, we should remove it. God has ordained us to do this. Kaliyuga is the most appropriate time for this. I have realized this truth with my life. God has given permission to accept Kali Dharma. This has to be given acceptance through our children and let us take up this mission in right earnest. The present day life has become miserable and disgusting due to the presence of evil spirits in the atmosphere. These devilish demons have spoiled the entire mankind. They have deprived all human beings of all benevolent feelings like love, kindness, compassion, sympathy, friendship etc. Many great spiritual leaders like Krishna, Buddha, Christ and Nabi have come and gone but their divine teachings did not have the desired effect on mankind as is evident from the presence of hatred, violence, bloodshed, atrocities against women and children etc. This is also due to the fact that the evil souls engulfing the atmosphere have succeeded in nullifying the positive effects of the teachings of the spiritual leaders. We are witness to many incidents in this world which are beyond the comprehension of normal human beings. Some are able to walk above water and walk through fire. Some are able to predict past and future correctly. Some even claim to be incarnations of God. These activities will not disappear just by ignoring them or opposing them. These activities will come to a halt only in front of a jnani, a really enlightened person. In fact, all those who show these tricks and magic will also become souls when they die and pollute the atmosphere. So, by God’s Grace, we should realize truth as it is. In order to clear the atmosphere from pollution you should establish a master-disciple relationship with the jnani. A lot of great things can be achieved with this divine master-disciple relationship. Guruvani We have behind us the experience of many Ages of worship, knowledge and teachings. This process has been going on thus over the long passage of time. At one point it is written in the (scriptures) that somebody lived for 10,000 years, doing penance. Can it happen in a human life? What is meant by this is the ‘Karmagati’ (the karmic propensity) of the soul earned through several lives of penance. Now, someone has left this world earning the quality of evil in the soul. Thus, how many billions do you think exist till date in the unaccountable account of the Hindus, who speak of 33 crores of deities? Like this, how many myriads of epochs and their karmas have we passed to reach here? A Yuga or Chaturyuga speaks a big time calculation. Seventy one such Chaturyugas constitute a Manvantara. After the passage of six such Manvantaras, this is the 7th Manvantara. The karmic residue of those bygone Manvantaras, resulting from what was learnt and heard, and from the actions performed knowingly or unknowingly, is absorbed into this Nature. Do you believe it? It is true. Nature has photographed this discussion of ours seated here today. Is it so or not? How should you view this? You should not say that it is not here. It is there. A non-existent thing has no name. Something is being discovered by somebody all the time. What is discovered is given a name and such identification has been going on. In that case we have behind us the karma denoted by the name we lived with, grown and decayed. Do you believe it to be so? The rationalist has gone one way and the liberationist the other way. Let them go. There are many of us between them. What is the way out for those? There is this area where you, others and I have worked. I am asking whether we have the right to say that this area does not exist. Doesn’t this natural reality exist, this reality of the particles of the karma that went before us and will lead to other karmas after us? This is my question. It is indeed there in Nature. If it is so, should we not realize this truth? You can tell me the way you know it. This is not rationalism. You should not think like that. It is to transfer my experience to you. These are not empty words. It can be seen. That is what is called experience. I am giving the example of your own children as proof of this experience. I have not brought them from my house. Aren’t they staying here now? This is a confirmation after you have received the experience (spiritual vision). What I say is based on what is revealed. The reason behind a disease is seen, and what is seen is communicated. In other words, our ancestors and ourselves pursued different ways of worship and did good and bad. Our body is the natural result of the experiences and actions of these souls. How can one nullify this? Our first question is whether it is understood or not? |
